Ciutat Vella district in Barcelona has closed 474 illegal tourist apartments in 10 months

In the last ten months, the District of Ciutat Vella in Barcelona closed 474 tourist apartments operating illegally. This means 33% of all 1,396 apartments for tourists existing in Ciutat Vella (Old Quartet). 683 apartments were legalized. I think is a good and bad step as well.

Good being this is ensure that tourist stay in apartments that legally eligible for them.

Barcelona apartments

The Bad thing is that, many of the people in Barcelona just lost their monthly income due to these closures.
